Footage from my recent vacation in Japan. My camera was typically always on me, which granted many shooting opportunities. There is a special bonus tribute at the end.
The footage of the clouds came out brilliantly. I wish I could have just done a film on all the cloud footage.
If your computer can handle it, I highly suggest seeing this footage in high definition.
Shot with Sony HVR-A1U.
Music by Coldplay – Lovers in Japan (Reign of Love)
Clever song by two dudes who don’t have perfect pitch but their singing is bearable. I recall feeling the same when I read Marx back in Univ, his ideas weren’t half bad.
This video was made by the infamous Freddie Wong (of Guitar Hero fame). Funny thing is that I met this guy at the Toronto World Series of Gaming Guitar Hero II competition. Well, Freddie has been making some videos lately with some decent editing skills. In this video he recreates the famed rocket jump from Team Fortress IRL.
Arcade Fire has made one of the coolest interactive music videos online. I’m quite impressed, and quite pleased they used some old-school HTML-5 to put it all together. Anyways, here is the link to the awesome video if you haven’t already. Unfortunately, Orillia, Ontario doesn’t have much Google Street View footage as more urban cities. If you are lucky enough to live in an area where Google has sent a street-view team, then you’ll get the most out of this.
You are prompted in the middle of the video to write a postcard message to a younger you living in your hometown. Here is the postcard I made.
