How do you break the ice with relatives whom have never met you? Photo-booth. Thank goodness for photobooth. Kids LOVE photobooth. Distant relatives LOVE photobooth. I’ll show you some pics and videos that I took with Jay-Young (age 8), and Yoon-Seo (age 12).
Jae-Young is a lot like me. He loves robots and is quite hyper-active. Yoon-Seo is a very bright girl. Like every other teen, she loves texting her friends and watching pop-stars on TV.
This first video has Jae-Young and Yoon-Seo anchoring MBC news (Big Korean News channel here). Jae-Young is demonstrating the ski-jump (with a telemark landing pose), and Ice boarding (aka Snowboarding).
This video sums up how much these kids LOVE photobooth. It looks quite Tim Burton-esque.
Hey friends!
Just want to let you all know that I’ve safely made it back to the homeland. South Korea is like North Korea, but South (Kidding – If you can guess what movie I’m referencing I’ll send you some sort of knick-knack from Korea. Just write it in comments). Korea is nothing short of amazing. I’m having a killer time here already. Just been doing the family thing; however, I have had some time to explore some busy areas of Korea (It’s pretty baller).
This is a pic of Seoul facing South. In every direction it is this crowded with urban development. I didn’t take this pic, but rather looked it up on Flickr. Thanks mystery photo-taker.
Anyways, I’ve been getting settled and staying from house to house until my orientation starts. A majority of my time has been spent with my Niece and Nephew. The next post will accentuate their awesomeness.
Bye for now!
