Nike files patent for BTTF2 self-lacing shoes!.

Despite the evilness of Nike, and my hypocrisy for continued purchases, but I will probably purchase these shoes some day. Nike has files a patent for the self-lacing shoes as seen worn by Marty McFly in Back to the Future.

Marty refers to the laces as “power laces.” I for one welcome our soon-to-be self-lacing overlords. Here are some images from the patent application.

Flip a coin.

I came across this image on Askmen.com, and I really like the feeling it leaves you with after reading.

**Props for being a Canadian quarter (at least it looks that way, although it could be a quid)

Plastic to Oil Machine.

Gotta hand it to Japanese innovation. They managed to turn plastic waste into renewable oil, which can be further broken down to gasoline, diesel and kerosene. Maybe we’re not so doomed after all?

Inebriation – Inception Parody.

I came across this parody for Inception which is well shot. Nice camera/lighting and the acting isn’t half bad.

Next Summer, last season of Entourage?.

HBO Programming President, Michael Lombardo has hinted at ending the series next summer. “I think next summer will definitely be the final season of ‘Entourage,’” Lombardo said.

If this means that the show will stop dilly-dallying with plot, then this would mean –as Johnny Drama would say– Victory! As much as I’ll continue to consume the crappy story lines that creator Doug Ellin has thrown at us viewers over the past 2 seasons, I think at this point I just need closure. I need a full-length episode. No more of these easter-egg episodes that are stock full of celebrity cameos and pointless side-stories.

Ellin has also expressed his interest in a full-length Entourage film. As much as I believe that Entourage has more of a right to create a TV-to-Film adaption (over the likes of Sex-and-the-City), I’m still not sold on the TV-to-Film transition. The characters in Entourage have too many side-plots attached to them, and not enough movie time to satisfactorily address them all. Viewers will feel that their characters have been cheated of a proper movie debut. The movie will feel like it’s missing critical plot content, a very similar complaint that viewers have expressed over the last 2 seasons of Entourage.
