Nothing like a little dub on a Monday afternoon.

I was shooting some test footage this summer of my dog Keenan. I voiced it over with Dug’s voice from Pixar’s summer balloon hit, ‘Up’.

After an exciting weekend, our film ‘To Whom It May Concern‘ has once again been blessed with top honours atthe London Short Film Showcase Festival. This festival had entries from around the world (Spain and Germany I heard) contending for the prize. First and foremost, I had no idea there were any prizes or any form of selection at this fest. I thought it was merely a showcase. This had me shaking a bit upon arrival at the venue (@ lovely London Museum).

I saw the wonderful film-reel trophy on display and recall telling Spring (one of my accomplices in crime), “I want that, it looks so cool.” Of course I said this with no actual intentions of winning, since some of the other films that were screened were exceptionally well done.

Well, the announcement came during a fancy-schmancy silent auction/reception following the screening. That was also when 3 filmmakers stood frozen in front of a gala full of applauding spectators. We were handed the reel’ and went straight to Call The Office’s ‘retro night’ to celebrate our win (who’d a thought a trophy reel knew how to dance like an animal to 80’s and 90’s music).

My film will be featured in the London Short Film Showcase this weekend. I shouldn’t say just ‘my’, as I had a talented team working with me the entire way (Spring Morris, Alanna Gurr). The short film is titled ‘To Whom It May Concern”, and will be playing at the London Museum on Sunday, November 8th @ 7PM (along with other short films).

This is the short film that our team won the London Film on the Fringe competition in March. It also screened during the London Fringe Festival this summer.

We’re excited because the organizers have asked us to do a Q&A session afterwards. We’d love for you to come and encourage us if you can. Tickets are $15 for the Sunday night.
